The Bimbadgen Estate range of wines consist of classic Hunter Valley varietals crafted in a traditional style from within Australia's oldest wine region.

This Viognier exhibits a heady perfume of fleshed stone fruits, summer blossoms, orange marmalade and a hint of spice. Ripe peaches, apricot and lemon curd linger on the palate carried by a refreshing citrus acidity. This wine serves as the perfect accompaniment to roast pork. .

  • Grown:
    Grown from our Viognier block located on our McDonalds Rd Vineyard.
  • Picked:
    14th February, 2015.
  • Made:
    The fruit was crushed, pressed and settled in stainless steel tanks where it was gently fined and allowed to settle. The clear juice was racked off its solids and inoculated with an aromatic yeast strain. Mid way through ferment the wine was transferred into old oak barrels, French 225L bariques and 500L puncheons. The wine remained in barrel until July, being stirred and topped monthly to increase palate weight and structure. The barrels where then blended into tank, fined and filtered prior to bottling.

    pH: 3.28 TA: 6.4g/L Alc: 12.5%
  • Appearance:
    Vibrant pale lemon.
  • Aroma:
    Heady perfume of stone fruits, orange blossom and spice.
  • Palate:
    Subtle nuances of orange and mandarin combine with a fresh lime acidity finishing with a mouth watering chalky texture and freshness.
  • Cellaring:
    Drink now, or cellar carefully for up to 5 years.
  • Food:
    Roast pork and crackling.
