2016 marks a milestone in the partnership between Bimbadgen and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney. As the MCA celebrates 25 years redefining Sydney’s artistic landscape, Bimbadgen is proud to celebrate our involvement as an MCA partner for the last 15 years. To commemorate this special occasion, we have extended our collaboration with the MCA to showcase these spectacular images on all of our Estate wines bottled in 2016.
The 2016 vintage was a spectacular one for Semillon in the Hunter Valley. This Semillon is a blend of our McDonalds Road and Palmers Lane vineyard blocks. The red clay soils of McDonalds Road provide ripe tropical flavours whilst the sandy loam soils of Palmers Lane give this Semillon its distinctive fresh lime flavours, zesty acidty and finesse.
John Barbour’s experimental and inter-disciplinary practice engaged with ideas of human frailty and fallibility. Working across drawing, painting, textiles, installation and sculpture, he often used modest materials such as cardboard, torn paper, Styrofoam, fabric, thread, cardboard and found objects to produce works of thought-provoking ambiguity and ambivalence.
