The fruit for this limited release ‘Reserve’ Shiraz was sourced primarily from Bimbadgen’s Palmers Lane vineyard and judiciously blended with small batch premium parcels in the winery. The clay over limestone soil produces a wine with lifted aromas of red currants combined with subtle spice from aging in oak. The palate is typically Hunter Valley, medium bodied, with bright red fruits. The fine tannin structure and depth of fruit makes this Shiraz very approachable and one to savour. With careful cellaring, this wine will continue to develop for the next 10-15 years.
