Bimbadgen’s striking Bell Tower is positioned on a ridge overlooking Australia’s oldest wine region. This has been the inspiration behind the Bimbadgen Ridge range of wines.

This Chardonnay from the Hunter Valley displays aromas of stone fruit and melon. Subtle grapefruit and peach flavours on the palate are rounded by soft French oak. This easy drinking, fruit forward style is made to enjoy now whilst fresh and lively.

  • Grown:
    From premium vineyards in the Hunter Valley.
  • Picked:
    21st January 2015
  • Made:
    The grapes were crushed, de-stemmed, chilled to 5ÂșC and pressed. The juice remained a little cloudy for the fermentation. The bulk of the wine was left in stainless steel with a selected yeast strain. A small portion was run off to old oak barrels for wind fermentation. These two components were blended together make up the wine, which remained for a short period of time on full yeast lees, enhancing the mouthfeel before bottling young and fresh.

    Pale green-yellow.
  • Aroma:
    Fragrant aromas of jasmine and melon.
  • Palate:
    A feminine style of Chardonnay with white flesh stone fruits and melon fruits. The fresh line of acidity lends freshness with some oak showing through giving structure and spice to the palate.
