• Vintage Notes

  2022 was an excellent vintage, particularly for Chardonnay. In fact, as the two parcels of Chardonnay from Palmers Lane & McDonalds Road that comprise this wine came into the winery, the winemaking team knew this was a special year. Throughout the maturation, a select few barrels were kept aside and allowed to sit for a longer period to develop. This 2022 Signature Chardonnay is greatly anticipated as it has been several years since a Chardonnay of this quality under the Signature label has been released.

• Tasting Notes

  Carefully harvested in the cool hours of early morning the fruit was gently pressed to tank where it settled overnight. The juice was racked to oak with a small portion of solids to ferment. Once fermentation was complete the barrels were regularly stirred to create richness and texture throughout the maturation period.

  Alluring stone fruits and toasted cashews with a rich vanillin warmth

• Palate

  White peach and citrus, combined with hints of roasted almonds and brioche. Subtle toasted oak and vanilla spice with an unwavering line of minerality.
